Test drive the next release of Jalview with the Jalview Test Desktop App! If you need to access the next version in order to test out teaching materials, or take advantage of hot-fixes for bugs not yet patched in the current release then we recommend you install the Jalview Test App. You’ll also find links to the latest release candidates for JalviewJS.

, so your regular Jalview preferences are preserved.
You can find links for installation instructions in the notes for your platform or different ways of running Jalview Test in the table above. Some of these are the same instructions for the other native Jalview Apps, but should still work.
Other ways to install/launch Jalview Test
You can install Jalview Test in a number of ways other than the main desktop installer. You may find one of the methods below suits your needs better.

If you install and use Jalview Test, you’re beta-testing the next release of Jalview. That means that if you find a problem, we’d really appreciate you let us know so we can fix it before the next version of Jalview is officially released. You can do this by signing up to the Jalview Discussion Forum and posting your comments in the Jalview Beta category.
